XT-100 Overview
The XT-100 features Colby‘s patented trombone technology for unmatched precision and ease of use. Using delay extensions, the XT-100 also comes in a number of configurations that give you the range you need, up to 100 ns.
Programmable Delay Line Instrument is designed to handle a high frequency/RF electronic signal, ranging from DC up to 18 GHz, and adjust the overall distance that the signal traverses. Altering this signal path length directly influences the resulting phase shift and complete travel time, as measured by comparing the signal's entry and exit points. We offer this capability in an instrument that accepts a time delay value in the form of commands and queries over a programmable interface.
Programmable delay (or phase shift) is provided through our patented electromechanical trombone with precision cut semi-rigid coaxial cable and aerospace grade microwave relays. We offer accuracy and precision with excellent repeatability.

Doppler shift and/or oscillate between two end points at variable rates of speed
An oscillation effect can be applied in the signal path from the increase and decrease of the path length that is continuously varied (cycled) between two endpoints. Displacement (amplitude) and period define an oscillation.
